Suni Williams and Butch Wilmore were greeted with hugs and applause after arriving at the International Space Station aboard US company Boeing’s Starliner.
This is the first time a spacecraft that has undergone a long and tortuous development program has been tasked with carrying humans.
Mission managers told journalists that Starliner encountered minor technical problems en route, including a helium leak and some thruster failures.
