Sean “Diddy” Combs allegedly attacked Cassie in the disturbing 2016 video


In November 2023, R&B singer Cassie, full name is Casandra Ventura, do a lot shocking allegations of abuse against her ex-partner Sean “Diddy” Comb, whom she met in 2005 – when she was 19 and he was 36 – and with whom she was involved until the end of their relationship in 2018. In a federal lawsuit, Cassie alleged Combs domestic violence, sex trafficking and rape. Combs denies the claims and settled with Cassie the next day.

On Friday, May 17, CNN released the video that shows Combs hitting, kicking and dragging his then-girlfriend Cassie in an altercation consistent with the scene in which she’s shown in her now stable suit. The surveillance footage, gathered from multiple camera angles and dated March 5, 2016, occurred at the now-closed InterContinental hotel in Century City, Los Angeles. CNN has reached out to representatives for Combs, who has not been criminally charged, and InterContinental Hotels for comment. Combs did not immediately respond Vanity fairrequest for comment by.

Cassie’s representative declined to comment on the footage to CNN, but her attorney did Douglas H. Wigdor, said in a statement to this news outlet: “This heartbreaking video only further confirms Mr. Combs’ harassing and predatory behavior. No words can describe the courage and strength Ms. Ventura has shown in bringing this to light.”

In the video, Cassie walks down a hotel hallway to a bank of elevators, and Combs, holding a towel around his waist, chases after her. He then grabbed her by the back of the head, threw her to the floor and kicked her twice before dragging her a few steps. Combs is then seen lifting an object off the table and throwing it at Cassie.

Since November, Combs has accused of sexual misconduct by multiple defendants in five other civil lawsuits. He has refuse accusations, calling them “sick accusations” from people looking for “a quick payday.” In March, federal agents assault Combs’ homes are in Los Angeles and Miami Beach, Florida. His lawyers called the operations “an excessive abuse of military-grade force” and asserted that it was born “of nothing more than a witch hunt based on baseless accusations ”.
