The popular podcast Shameless by Zara McDonald and Michelle Andrews has just hit the incredible milestone of 50 million downloads.
The duo shared their success with their followers on Monday along with a series of photos documenting their journey from their debut in 2018.
They wrote on their Shameless Podcast Instagram page a bit to celebrate 50 million Shameless downloads along with a group photo of the group.

They continued: ‘It’s been a wild four years, all the way from Zara’s parents’ home office to our pod studio and very own space at The Commons.
They continued: “It feels like yesterday we were a group of two, taking a selfie where the microphone wasn’t clearly plugged in.”
‘So grateful to anyone who contributed to the 50 factory, and of course the six legends, who join us at the office every week and make this work really enjoyable.’

Last year, they revealed to the Herald Sun the secret behind the success of the show that has quickly become one of Australia’s most popular podcasts.
Zara, 28, explains: ‘We had to create this relationship where we could be brutally honest and have no personal ties to our disagreements.
‘It’s a unique relationship that you have to really nurture and cherish. That’s a pretty hard thing to do; I don’t know many people who can do that. And I don’t have any other relationship like it in my life. ‘

Michelle, 28, added: ‘We talk all day, every day. We love to talk and we haven’t seen each other since we met. We are really great friends. I think our friendship is the focus of the show. We love each other’s company. ‘
Shameless reached 10 million downloads at the end of 2019 and regularly tops the Culture & Society charts.
Since launching Shameless in 2018, Zara and Michelle have continued to publish their own book, The Space Between, about the struggles and realities of their twenties.
Last year, they revealed to the Herald Sun the secret behind the success of the show that has quickly become one of Australia’s most popular podcasts.
Despite their success, the pair faced competition last year from Brittney Hockley and Laura Byrne’s similar podcast Life Uncut.
Life Uncut recently hit a total of 10 million downloads in less than two years and often beats Shameless on the charts these days.
Laura wrote on Instagram after hitting the milestone: ‘I am speechless, gobbled up and incredibly humbled in front of everyone who has listened, texted, cried and laughed along with this little Brittany podcast and me. created in his bedroom.
