Former unified lightweight champion, Teofimo Lopez, was unimpressed with his opponent, Sandor Martin, as he won a controversial decision victory over the Spaniard.
Lopez did enough to win two scoreboards 97-92 and 96-93, while losing one half remaining, but many fans believe the judgment was too generous for the 25-year-old.
The main point of the talk was that the knockdown that was not scored for Martin, in the seventh inning of the match, appeared to be an incorrect decision by the officials.

After the fight, Lopez and Martin got into a heated argument, Martin claiming that he had been robbed. However, Lopez insisted that he won the match as the aggressor and claimed that Martin ran away for the entire match.

After a less-than-convincing performance, doubts will now arise as to whether Lopez is of the caliber to fight for the title in the ultralightweight division.
