Today, during Devolver Digital’s Summer Game Fest live stream, a new trailer for Skate Story was revealed. And honestly, you just have to watch it. It looks great. Check it out:
For starters, Skate Story has been around for a while. Since 2020, developer Sam Eng has been slowly revealing their own game Personal Twitter and officials Skate Story account. For the most part, these are mini-gameplay videos. But today’s trailer finally gives us a look at the game’s story – or at least its general premise. It is, according to the trailer, “You’re a demon made of glass and pain, but you have to skate.” What more could you need? What’s more, we’ve got extensive looks at the gameplay, including a unique art style. The camera angle and vibration are as close to a real ice skating video as any video game to date.
I don’t mean a game I haven’t played, but I can’t wait to get into Skate Story. Luckily, it’s slated to launch on PC next year.
