You can watch Sonic Frontiers’ 7 minutes of open world gameplay right now

Yesterday, Sega debuted roughly 30 seconds of the open world game Sonic Frontiers and today, you can watch more than seven minutes of gameplay, thanks to the support of IGN. It’s basically an extended look at what was introduced yesterday and it looks great.

Right off the bat, it’s beautiful – it looks more realistic than any Sonic game before it – and it’s clear that speed is the name of the game since there’s almost nothing stopping Blue Blur. It’s a cliché, but it seems like if you see something in the distance, there’s a way to speed you there, be it by rail, ramp, ground or something. that’s different. See for yourself below:

As you can see, running isn’t everything in this extensive game interface. There are plenty of Sonic staples, such as ground boosters, buffers, and more. Additionally, there are towers that act as platform challenges, requiring you to reach the top. Elsewhere, there are simple puzzles to solve that involve stepping on light switches as well as speed wheels (I think: hamster wheel, or hedgehog wheel, I suppose) that seem to work. function anything else to the surrounding area. Maybe it blurs the map or unlocks new areas to explore. Only time will tell for now.

Unfortunately, we still don’t have a release date for Sonic Frontiers, but it should arrive sometime this year, so hopefully we don’t have to wait too long. While waiting to learn more, watch this trailer from last DecemberAnd after that check out this other Sonic Frontiers gameplay was released yesterday.
