Recently, Google introduced a new feature to Docs. With this new feature, you can assign a checklist item to yourself or a colleague, which will then show up in the assignee’s Tasks list. When edits are made to a specified item in the To-do, such as changing the title, due date, or completion status, those updates are visible in the Document and vice versa.
