For 2023, Yamaha’s small power shouts feature a new sleek and purple LED indicator light.
As we reported earlier, Yamaha is preparing to return to the market high-end bicycle segment in India and out of all the products it will launch, the R3 is probably the most anticipated one.
2023 Yamaha R3: updates, platforms and features
The 2023 model year brought two aesthetic versions to the R3 in the form of sleek LED indicators derived from the larger models and a new eye-catching purple color.
The rest of the bike remains mechanically identical with a parallel, 321 cc, liquid-cooled engine that makes 42 hp at 10,750 rpm and 29.5 lb-ft of torque. Nm at 9,000 rpm. The engine is housed in a diamond frame, suspended by 37mm USD forks and a pre-adjustable monoshock, both supplied by KYB.
The list of features on the R3 includes a non-slip clutch, two-channel ABS, all-LED lighting and an LCD display (unlike the more modern TFT screens found on some rivals). its).
When launched in India, Yamaha R3 will face rivals like KTM RC390, BMW G 310 RR and another happy twin from Japan in the form of Kawasaki Ninja 400.
