Xiaomi launched its foldable smartphone – Mi Mix Fold in March 2021. The company is now ready to launch its successor. Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun has confirmed that the company will introduce Xiaomi Mix Fold 2 smartphone on August 11 at an event. The Chinese smartphone maker will launch its foldable smartphone just a day after the global launch of the Samsung Galaxy Z series smartphones. For those who don’t know, Samsung will launch the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4 on August 10.
The company has also confirmed that it will also launch the Xiaomi Pad 5 Pro and Buds 4 Pro at the same event.
Xiaomi Mix Fold 2
Xiaomi has shared a teaser image of the upcoming Mix Fold 2 smartphone. The teaser image confirms that the smartphone will be available in gold color.
According to leaker Digital Chat Station, the foldable smartphone is said to feature an external display with a resolution of 1080×2520 pixels and an aspect ratio of 21:9. Both the internal and external displays of the smartphone Both have 120Hz refresh rate. Another online leak claims that the company has used Samsung’s E5 AMOLED display for the external display and Samsung Eco² OLED for the internal display.
The upcoming foldable smartphone is expected to feature a 50MP main camera with a Sony IMX766 sensor, a 13MP ultra-wide-angle sensor, and a 2x telephoto camera. The smartphone will also come with a Leica-branded camera.
Xiaomi Mix Fold 2 is expected to be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset and run Android 12 operating system.
Xiaomi Mi Pad 5 Pro
The Xiaomi Mi Pad 5 Pro is said to have a larger display and a 50MP main camera.
The tablet is also expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset.
Xiaomi Buds 4 Pro
Xiaomi Buds 4 Pro is confirmed to come with intelligent dynamic noise reduction and independent spatial audio support.
