The Chinese smartphone maker has developed the 8.8mm-thick Super Waterdrop-shaped Hinge and makes the foldable smartphone 35% lighter than others on the market.
Xiaomi also added a piece of floating carbon fiber in the hinge to eliminate wrinkles on the screen. The smartphone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset and also features a VC Vapor chamber.
The Xiaomi Mix Fold 2 starts at 8,999 yuan (Rs 1,06,250). The smartphone comes in black and gold color options. The foldable device will go on sale starting August 16 in China. The smartphone maker has yet to reveal any details about the Mix Fold 2’s global launch.

The foldable smartphone’s external display measures 6.65 inches and comes with a 120Hz refresh rate. The outer screen is protected by a coating of Corning Gorilla Glass Victus on top.
Xiaomi Mix Fold 2 is equipped with octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset combined with 12GB of RAM. The smartphone comes in three major variants – 256GB, 512GB and 1TB.
