Woods had one of his worst rounds at the PGA Championship
Tiger Woods finished the third round at the 2022 PGA Championship with nine over par, making it his second-worst round ever at a major. The only worse round of his career was 81 (over 10) at the 2002 Open Championship.
Woods, 46, had a shaky first round on Thursday and leg pain, but returned with a sub-a-point performance on Friday to make the cut. That momentum fizzled out on Saturday when Woods scored 41 points through the front nine and 38 on the back nine.
His shots found water twice in the first six holes, including on the third par-three, where he finished with three bogeys. Woods also had a run of five bogeys in a row starting on the ninth hole when he took a hit to the lip of the bunker.
