Live update of the 2023 Women’s Premier League Auction: The auction of the first edition of the Women’s Premier League (WPL) in Mumbai is underway. In the first set, Smriti Mandhana was the most expensive player at Rs 3.4 crore by RCB, while Ashleigh Gardner was the second most expensive player at Rs 3.2 crore by the Gujarat Giants. A total of 1,525 players registered for the first Women’s Premier League Player Auction and the final list was shortened to more than 449 players.
