‘Women are twice as likely to have persistent COVID’: WHO publishes alarming data on people and symptoms

In addition to the symptoms mentioned, there are several other complications that are associated with long-term COVID.

Some studies show prolonged hair loss with COVID. One study has shown that telogen effusion or excessive hair loss is associated with COVID. Research shows that the condition occurs one to two months after contracting COVID, and more than 60% of people experience it.

Another major complication of persistent COVID is tinnitus or a feeling of tinnitus. Many people have experienced an uncomfortable ringing or buzzing sensation in their ears after being infected with COVID. There wasn’t enough research on this before, however gradually after many such reports, researchers became interested in this and found a connection between the two conditions.

Other complications associated with prolonged COVID are tachycardia, digestive problems, deep vein thrombosis, and pulmonary embolism.

Skin problems are also common in many people after contracting COVID.
