Taylor’s family told the outlet she may have been trapped in her car for at least 18 hours before authorities found her on Christmas Eve.

Taylor’s mother, Wanda Brown Steele, told the broadcaster she called 911 and was waiting for them at the time of her death.
“She called 911 and is waiting for them,” her mother said.
But “everyone who tried to reach her got stuck,” Brown added.
“The fire department, the police, everyone is trapped.”
Steele went on to ask why the “state known for its snow” did not have emergency vehicles available to operate during a major blizzard.
The family with the “Whole Herd of Buffaloes” are looking for Taylor, who moved back last year to take care of her ailing father.
Meanwhile, her sister posted a message during the storm saying they had “both Buffalo” looking for Taylor, who had just moved to Upstate New York from Charlotte last year to help care for her father. she.
In a group chat, Taylor told her sisters she had planned to go to bed and then try to walk to safety if no assistance was available when she woke up, according to her mother.
The girl’s mother then informed relatives across the city to “go back there again” and look for her, WSOC-TV reported.
“That’s when they broke the window and found that she was in it,” Taylor’s grieving mother said.
Taylor most likely died of carbon monoxide poisoning, according to her mother, who noted that her car was still running and that snow had blocked the exhaust at the time of her death.
She said: “The car was moving and the snow was still heavy so it blocked the pipes and exhaust pipes. “And then after the car shuts down, that’s when she gets cold.”
Family raises funds to return her body to Charlotte, with her death coming before her 23rd birthday
She died shortly before her 23rd birthday, the newspaper reported.
She “still gets presents under the tree” at Christmas, her sister said.
Meanwhile, the family is currently trying to raise funds to bring her body back to Charlotte, where they moved when Taylor was two years old.
As of Tuesday, an online fundraiser has raised $17,390 of the $12,000 target.
