Woman denies turning normal sex with Benjamin Mendy’s co-accused into rape allegation | UK News
A woman has denied turning casual sex between her and her friend and has accused soccer player Benjamin Mendy of a rape allegation.
She alleges Louis Saha Matturie told her he was a football agent and after their first date in Nando took her back to his flat in south Manchester where he raped her.
Matturie, then 31, met the woman while at a club in Manchester and they began dating in the summer of 2012, not long after she turned 18, Chester Crown Court was told.

The woman said she didn’t tell anyone about the rape allegation in 2012 until she saw a news report in December 2021 about the arrests of the two defendants. She then went to the police.
Under cross-examination by Lisa Wilding KC, defending Matturie, the woman agreed that although she remembered some details, she could not recall the sexual relationship between them, which was a “gap” in the record. her chest.
Ms Wilding told the witness she couldn’t remember how long the sex lasted or what really happened.
Ms Wilding continued: “Just as the whole sex part is gone from your memory, it’s gone from him too.
“If this were to happen, would you have given every indication that you were ready and agreeing to have sex that took place?”
The witness replied: “Definitely not.”
Ms Wilding suggested the witness may have “come along” with having sex which she later regrets, adding: “When you read in the paper that other people have accused rape or sex crimes sex against him, then you’ve turned to casual and forgettable sex on a sex allegation?”
The woman replied, “No. Not at all. I know when I want to have sex with someone or not.”
Mendy denies seven counts of rape, one count of attempted rape and one count of sexually assaulting six young women.
Matturie denies six counts of rape and three counts of sexual assault involving seven young women.
The trial continued.
