Sharing the stage with Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, industrialist Gautam Adani on Friday announced an investment of Rs 65,000 crore in the state.

This includes setting up a 10,000 MW solar power facility, expanding a cement plant and upgrading Jaipur International Airport over the next five to seven years.

“Combining all ongoing and future investments, we anticipate investing an additional Rs 65,000 crore in Rajasthan over the next five to seven years and creating more than 40,000 direct and indirect jobs.” he said while making the announcement at “Invest Rajasthan Summit 2022” in Jaipur.

Mr. Adani said his team is working with the state government on two more projects.

“We will establish two medical colleges and hospitals in districts that do not have such facilities, and we will also support the state government to build a cricket stadium in Udaipur,” he said. and added that discussions are underway with the Minister.

In his speech, Gehlot called Mr. Adani “Gautam bhai” and praised his business acumen.

“Gujarat has produced great industrialists and entrepreneurs like Dhirubhai Ambani and Gautam bhai,” said Mr. Gehlot.

When photos of Mr. Adani and Mr. Gehlot emerged, the BJP attacked the rival party for repeatedly attacking an industrialist Rahul Gandhi.
