“We’re expecting colder air to arrive right around morning commute time, quickly turning rain into snow,” said AccuWeather meteorologist Jon Porter. “There are indications that it could snow quite heavily when this happens.”
That can mean dangerous travel conditions and catch “unprepared drivers off guard,” Porter said.

Areas of New Jersey have been notified of winter weather. 1 to 3 inches of snow is expected to end Thursday afternoon.

The storm was the latest in a series of dangerous winter weather fronts to sweep the region.
