Hello gentle readers and welcome to the slightly shorter SwitchArcade Summary on January 18, 2023. As readers of yesterday’s article may know, I had to go to my favorite hospital today. prefer. Nothing too serious, but it took up a good chunk of my day. Enough that I don’t have time to do any reviews. That wouldn’t be a problem if today wasn’t a slow day, but here we are. A new release, although it looks like a good one. We also have the usual lists of new and expiring discounts to round things up. That’s the way it goes sometimes. Take a look at what we’ve got!
New release
Blue Star Wings ($14.99)
Phew, another indie side-scrolling hell shooter. I haven’t had a chance to play this yet, but I’ve watched some videos and it definitely looks mechanical enough. The game has a strong emphasis on story, and you’ll enjoy plenty of cutscenes and stories as you work your way through the eight stages of the game. There are two different pilots to choose from and their ships have their own properties. You can also upgrade your weapons as you go. Use a variety of unlockables and you have something shooter fans might want to take a closer look at. I know I will.
