Windy Meadow is expanding the world based on Roadwarden’s text
Walker is one of many great mystery game from last yearand text-based RPG fans can now look forward to solving even more secrets from the world with Windy Meadow – A Roadwarden Tale, coming to PC later this year.
Windy Meadow is set in the same fantasy world as Roadwarden and likewise presents a slice-of-life story that can branch out depending on your choices. This time, however, you’ll follow the three main characters in their intertwined daily lives.
Windy Meadow’s press release reveals the story of Vena, Fabel and Iudicia: “Will the talented hunter Vena leave her peaceful but harmless village and leave her family behind to pursue riches with a merchant guild? Are not? Can Fabel finally embrace his talent, abandoning the symbolic shackles of his troubled past in pursuit of his dream of becoming a famous singer? And will the bystander and herbalist Iudicia take hold of her love life, choosing not to marry a man she doesn’t really love at the risk of a lonely future?
Unlike its predecessor, Windy Meadows is focusing more on its art. Roadwarden includes a pixel-art sidebar of whatever environment you’re exploring, and adds scenes through in-game prose. Windy Meadow, on the other hand, features beautifully animated side-scrolling scenes and replaces the original’s written descriptions with plenty of dialogue.
in us Road RatingJay Castello specifically addressed its fantasy setting, saying that “the peninsula is really like a place with a deep history, and especially where people and nature co-exist in a difficult way. .. Roadwarden’s sense summoning is amazing.”
