Will Ted Lasso continue in season 4?

Don’t miss the most unexpected football stars just. On weekends, Duration reported that Ted Lasso A fourth season could be on the way, as Warner Bros. Television has picked up three original cast members who are under contract with Equity, the UK acting union.

Hannah Waddingham, who plays Rebecca Welton, owner of the AFC Richmond team; Brett Goldstein, who plays football player-turned-coach Roy Kent; and Jeremy Swift, who plays football executive Leslie Higgins, are both reportedly being contacted by Warner Bros. Television to return to the show.

According to Deadline, once that trio is on board, the next step will be to secure cast members with SAG-AFTRA contracts whose original options have expired. That group will include co-creators/executive producers Jason Sudeikis like Ted Lasso and Brendan Hunt like Coach Beard, as well as Temple of Juno like Keeley Jones. But Phil Dunster, who played bad boy Jamie Tartt, may not be able to return for a fourth season due to commitments to a pair of other streaming shows: Prime Video Devil’s Hour and Apple Surface.

But if the various members of the cast make their deals and the studio sets up a writers room, production Ted Lasso Deadline reports that the fourth season could begin as early as 2025. Vanity Fair has contacted representatives of the series for comment.

And last March, ahead of the third season of the AppleTV+ comedy, Sudeikis confirmed Duration that a certain chapter of the series has indeed come to an end. “This is the end of the story that we wanted to tell, that we hoped to tell, that we enjoyed telling,” he said. “The fact that people will want more and be curious about what they didn’t even know about — which is a third part — is commendable.” He added, “Yeah, I think we’re ready for all kinds of people… to see the next part of these stories.”

However, Waddingham shared his hopes for more. Ted Lasso with Vanity Fair, “This is the end of this particular story,” she said at the show’s third season premiere in Los Angeles. “You’ll know why when you watch it.” At the same time, she continued, “I don’t really know what’s going to happen next. I’m not sure Jason knows what he wants to do, but I would love to see a spin-off series with Keeley, Rebecca, and Higgins. There are so many beloved characters that it would make sense for them to do a spin-off. We’ll have to wait and find out.”
