Will float national party soon: KCR | India News


NEW DELHI: Telangana Chief Minister Rashtra Samithi K Chandrashekar Rao on Sunday confirmed that he will be launching a country party soon.
“There was consensus on an alternative national agenda after lengthy discussions with intellectuals, economists and experts from different fields as we did before the start of the movement. Telangana,” said an official statement from Rao’s office.
“Very soon, the formation of a national party and formulation of its policies will take place,” it added.
KCR has shifted its focus to running for elections in other states, especially Gujarat, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh and Uttar Pradeshoutside of Delhi.
The TRS The minister told senior leaders to identify potential candidates in these states and put them in the 2024 or council elections Lok Sabha opinion polls. Sources say KCR wants to collect money from Telugu voters in states like Gujarat, Karnataka, Maharashtra and Delhi and expand its party’s footprint in these states.
To obtain national partisan status, the TRS must have at least 6% of the valid votes cast in four or more states in the Lok Sabha and state parliament elections.
Once it obtains national party membership, it can have its own emblem (car logo in the case of TRS/BRS) that will be distributed to its candidates nationwide.
KCR is also said to be revitalizing its relationships with the nation’s senior leaders such as Sharad Yadav. The TRS President is also planning to give tickets to farmers union leaders, intellectuals, former civil servants and representatives of Dalit associations in UP and Delhi.
