Wild Video Shows Cops Shoot Man Dead After Bronx Bodega Fight
Shocking surveillance video from a deadly police-involved shooting in Bronx on Thursday showed plainclothes NYPD officers opening fire on an armed suspect who was on the run after a stabbing inside a nearby bodega.
The incident happened inside a convenience store at East Gun Hill Road and Hull Avenue around 11:30 a.m., when a 29-year-old man entered before immediately attacking a 21-year-old man, police said. close said.

Surveillance video footage from inside the store, first obtained by New York Postshows the attacker lunging at the victim before continuing to brutally assault him.
The scuffle began to reach the back of the bodega, causing the attacker to pin down the victim, who had knocked down a snack display during the struggle.
The aggressor eventually stabbed the victim several times before fleeing the store. The injured man can then be seen getting up as he chases his attacker.

Video taken from another CCTV camera, overlooking the bodega entrance, shows the suspect entering a white Lexus parked outside after the crash.
The victim, who had been stabbed multiple times, then ran into the vehicle and pulled out a gun, before firing it at what Sheriff James Essig described as “indefinite range”.

Three plainclothes officers casually crossed the street, and pulled out their guns as more than a dozen shots rang out.
The shooter/stabbed victim was then hit by a bullet causing him to fall to the ground.
Meanwhile, the stabbing suspect can be seen jumping out of the Lexus and fleeing the scene as responders cease fire while repeatedly warning the injured gunman “don’t move!”

A man with stab wounds and gunshot wounds can be heard, screaming in pain as a crowd of onlookers gathers. The officers eventually approached him before kicking a black shotgun out of his reach, and then handcuffing him as he pleaded with them not to.
The scene on the sidewalk quickly became tense and escalated as witnesses shouted and banged on parked cars in rage while attempting to confront the detained trio, all while the police try to keep them at bay.

The 21-year-old man with gunshots and stab wounds was taken to nearby Saint Barnabas Hospital, where he was eventually pronounced dead, according to police.

Meanwhile, the 29-year-old man who allegedly stabbed the 21-year-old girl inside the pub was later found inside an area barbershop before being taken into custody. He was taken and treated at the hospital for a graze wound to his head, the Post reported.
The plainclothes officers involved in the shooting – two of which were detectives and the other a sergeant – were members of the Queens Violent Crime Squad and happened to be in the area investigating one of them. unrelated issue, Essig said.
The man shot dead by police has yet to be identified as of Friday. Meanwhile, no charges have been announced against the 29-year-old stabbing suspect, according to the Post.
