Why Jeff Bezos Thanks ‘Lord Of The Rings: The Rings Of Power’ Presenter


The whole world awaits the premiere of ‘Lord of the Rings: Rings of Power‘, Amazon’s Ambitious Prequel TV Series Brings JRR Back TolkienMiddle-earth and its stories for the cinematic medium. The stakes have never been higher when it comes to a TV series/film adaptation of Lord of the Rings and expectations are running high among true blue fans. While the show premiered in the UK on August 30, it will come to the rest of the world on September 2 on Prime Video at 6pm Pacific time.
Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos meanwhile thanked The Rings of Power presenters for skipping over his notes about the show at the right time. While presenting the first two episodes at the Odeon Lux cinema in Leicester Square, he said (via Variety): “Everybody’s dream shows – and I mean everyone shows – their dream. is to receive script notes and early footage from the founder and executive chairman. They love that. I need to thank you both for listening whenever it helps but I need to thank you guys for ignoring me at the right time. ”
He also added that his son actually came up to him one day and said, “Dad, please don’t do this.”
According to the report, Bezos also said he fell in love with Tolkien’s works when he was 13 or 14 years old, after his grandfather introduced him to the British writer.
“Of course, I love adventure, with its detailed universe, with a sense of hope and optimism, with the idea that everyone has a role. And I’m happy to report that cycle continues today. ,” the report quoted Bezos as saying.
The Rings of Power features a number of main characters that fans will easily remember from the Peter Jackson trilogy such as GaladrielElrond and Isildur.
