On Tuesday, June 11, Streetz 94.5 posted a video interview with the female singer YouTube. After about three minutes of the interview, Vedo discussed his wedding with his girlfriend Shá. The couple got married on Valentine’s Day earlier this year.
During the conversation, Streetz co-hosted Mzshyneka asked Vedo how long he and Shá had been together before getting married. On the contrary, Vedo explained that he and Shá dated for 13 years before making the big move.
Vedo explained that Sha has been with him since the beginning of his career. From there, he goes into more detail about their journey to the aisle.
“We’re both growing up, us [were] young, [and] We had goals that we tried to achieve before we got to that point. And I said, ‘Hey, if we get married, we’ll do it our way,'” Vedo explained. “…[After] thirteen years, I thought, ‘Yeah, it’s about that time.’”
From there, Vedo explained that he actually wanted to wait until he and Shá had their first child to get married.
“And I wanted to wait until I had my daughter — which sounds crazy [but] – I want to see if she is a good mother,” he added. “If she is a good mother, she will be a good wife.”
Additionally, Vedo explained that he and Shá had only been engaged for about a year and a half before they walked down the aisle.

Vedo addressed the backlash and clarified his words
It didn’t take long for Vedo to lighten the mood. On Thursday June 13, Shade room Vedo has obtained an exclusive video clarifying his position. The singer explained that seeing his girlfriend become a good mother was “one of the reasons” he wanted to marry her. However, that is not the “only reason”.
“That went hand in hand with wanting to see if we could successfully transition into parenthood together while still loving each other the same,” he said. “…Having children can make things complicated and sometimes taint the love for each other. Meanwhile, being a mother is a difficult thing.”
Vedo explains that seeing his partner “show up” and “sacrifice” for his child consistently — even on her “worst day” — will make him feel more confident that he will have a “great wife”.
Finally, the singer explained that if his partner can do those things for a child, then she can also do those things in marriage. Additionally, Vedo explained that he was “ready to be a father” before he was “ready to be a husband.”
