Dragon’s House is jumping forward once more and the series will introduce fans to the actors who will be playing Alicent Hightower, Rhaenyra Targaryenand Daemon Targaryen’s children from here on out. Tom Glynn-Carney will take on the key role of Prince Aegon Targaryen, Rhaenyra’s half-brother and her biggest challenger when it comes to the Iron Throne.
Tom has had notable roles before, but Dragon’s House undeniably will be his breakthrough moment. Aegon is about to officially enter center stage. HollywoodLife compiled everything you need to know about this 27-year-old rising star.
1. Tom plays the adult version of Aegon Targaryen.
Tom first appeared in Dragon’s House is in episode 8. This will be the last major time jump in the series. The younger version of Aegon, King Viserys and eldest son of Alicent Hightower, played by Ty Tennant. Viserys and Alicent’s children are currently being played by new actors: Ewan Mitchell like Aemond, Phia Saban like Helaenaand Tom as Aegon.
Tom admitted that the role of Aegon was a “much darker role” for him. “It’s a very, very complicated character,” said Tom Wonderland magazine. “One minute we love him, the next minute we hate him, but I really enjoyed that reciprocal aspect of the role. It’s a tough one to play, but it’s very rewarding in many ways. “
2. Tom’s first movie was Dunkirk.

Tom is the lead singer in the band Animals walk in sleep. His bandmates include Joe Etherington, Jack Brett, Alex Harford, Nuwan Hugh Perera, and Bill Caple. The band friends had been friends for many years before they formed their own band.
4. Tom is from Manchester.
Tom grew up in Manchester, England. He studied Musical Theater at Pendleton College of Performing Arts and later studied acting at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. His first on-screen role was in two episodes Casualties.
5. Tom has recently returned from a social media break.
Tom shared about why he needed a break on social media when he got back Instagram in May 2022. “Social media can be brilliant in many ways, but to step away for a while and see the world through a different lens can bring it all into perspective.
