Pat Stay passed away at the age of 36 following a stabbing in downtown Halifax in Nova Scotia, Canada, TMZ reported. Although not officially confirmed by the police, the brother of the Canadian rapper, Pete Staydeath confirmation, taking place on Sunday morning, to CBC, the outlet reported further. Authorities apparently reacted to the horrifying incident just after midnight and Pat died of his injuries shortly after being taken to the hospital. As of September 4, there has been no news of a stabbing arrest and authorities are asking anyone with information to provide information.

Hip hop artists like Alchemist and RA The Rugged Man took to Twitter to share their sadness. “’I can walk on the moon in steel boots on’ Rest in peace Pat Stay. Battle Rap icon and king. If you know me, you know I always thought he was the best. I am wounded,” wrote the Alchemist. RA called him “a very wonderful person and a man of the family” and sent “consolations to his loved ones.”
Pat has a baby.
The hip hop artist is also the father of a five-year-old son Calvin and 10 year old daughter Alaura. He sometimes shares photos and sweet messages with them on social media on special occasions, such as their birthdays. Last week, on Calvin’s birthday, the doting dad shared photos of him, including one holding him close, along with a loving caption.
