An American Airlines flight to DC from Los Angeles was diverted to Kansas after a passenger “behaves erratically”. One person, still unidentified, attempted to open the emergency exit door before the plane made an emergency landing.
He had previously tried to break into the cockpit and also had an argument with one of the flight attendants. The latter has to throw a coffee cup to subdue him.
Who is Mouaz Mustafa?
Mouaz Moustafa is the executive director of an organization called the Syrian Law Enforcement Task Force.
The organization is said to be fighting to reduce violence against Syrian civilians through advocacy and humanitarian initiatives, according to its Twitter handle.
Furthermore, Mustafa is very active on social media, where he posts tweets about his work and about his organization. He currently has more than 5600 followers on Twitter.

Video on Twitter shows passenger diverting American Airlines flight
Mouaz Moustafa shared several videos on Twitter regarding the incident on an American Airlines flight.
Starting the story, the plane that was originally to DC had to make an emergency landing in Kansas after a passenger created a scene. He was then subdued by a flight attendant who threw a coffee cup at him.

As seen in Moustafa’s Twitter video, the troublemaker is covered in blood from a coffee cup injury. Even then, he tried to open the emergency exit while the plane was making an emergency landing.
According to reports, the pilot had to land at around 5000 FPM instead of the normal 500-700 FPM. Some passengers had no clue about the incident and thought the plane had crashed.
The plane descended about 31,000 feet in just about 8 minutes.

Emergency landing: Are passengers arrested?
On the American Airlines flight, the passenger responsible for the incident was arrested.
He is a middle-aged man whose name has yet to be released, according to Moustafa. According to reports, he was arrested by the FBI. More information on his identity and charges will be released soon.
Most importantly, no passengers were injured as a result of the incident. The passengers were re-registered for another flight.
