The final list of the world’s 101 largest yachts by overall length, has been published by BOAT International, the global governing body for superyachts. The full 101 list appeared in the January issue of International BOAT.
But here, JustLuxe covers five of the top ten, with pictures. These five entries are new, demonstrating the strength of the Nordic shipyards, along with the growing trend in hybrid powertrain systems.
Headship – Feadship’s Bliss Cruise
The largest ship to be delivered this year is the 140 meter (almost 500 feet) Solaris, built by the German workshop Lloyd Werft. Outstanding exterior and interior of an Australian-designed eight-deck yacht Marc Newson, who didn’t talk much about the mammoth project. But what is known is that it has a gray exterior, and is said to house 36 guests. Solaris is known for more than 2,000 square meters (21,527 square feet) of glass surfaces, including the largest glass panels ever built into a yacht. Glass is also incorporated in the main deck pool, where floor lamps and transparent surfaces showcase the beach club below. The Solaris is driven by eight MTU (high-speed diesel) engines with a combined output of over 14,000kW, which should achieve over 18 knots.
Headship-Viva by Feadship
25 meters (82 feet) shorter, 115 meters (377 feet) Apho was delivered to a repeat customer by Lurssen. Operating from an 86-meter (282-foot) vessel, the owners once again used Nuvolari Lenard for the yacht’s interior and exterior design. The “family-focused” yacht has seven cabins, including a 200 square meter (2152 square foot) duplex apartment in the owner’s cave. Fitness is a key claim in its vision; There is an 80 square meter (861 square foot) gym on the top deck. Other standout features include a dining room decorated with a wine display and a wellness area with a pool filled with water that is warmed by used heat captured from the generator.
It’s been a great year for Feadship, Dutch shipyards, as they are responsible for three other yachts in the Top 101 -? Happiness is 94.75 meters (31,000 feet), Viva 94 meters (30839 feet) and 88.38 meters (28,996 feet) Zen.

The Bliss is designed with the mantra “leave no trace”. The yacht is powered by a diesel engine, with the option of running on pure electric power, thanks to a large battery bank, as well as a dynamic positioning system to ensure that the vessel is not damaged on the seabed when anchored. With pole-encoded hull, Studio de Voogt drew lines, while Remi Tessier responsible for the interior, including nine luxury cabins. Built for an active family, Bliss features ample outside deck space with a large swimming pool and a commercial-certified slide deck that converts into a full sports and games deck.
With an overall length, or LOA, just a few centimeters shorter than the Bliss, the Viva is a very different boat, with long, clean lines that feel almost like architecture. New York designer Peter Marino – most recognized for his work on top boutiques such as Armani, Chanel and Louis Vuitton – is responsible for the yacht’s beach house-style interiors. Feadship also reports that Viva’s owner has set a very difficult goal: to ensure the yacht has an environmental footprint no larger than his previous 62-meter (203.4-foot) Feadship. One of the ways to achieve this ambitious goal is to install an advanced hybrid propulsion system.

Completing the group, Zen is the first yacht to be built at Feadship’s newest shipyard, located on an older commercial dock west of Amsterdam. Like the Bliss, Studio De Voogt was responsible for the exterior, which includes a classic white hull with clean lines and loads of black glass. Interior designed by Italy Nauta Design, but little is revealed about the style. What has been revealed through photos of the exterior, is that it has a large pool at the rear, a forward-facing Jacuzzi on the sundeck and a circular, sunken seating area in the foredeck . The deck also has a large amount of private outside space under the skin of the sundeck. Reports indicate the boat can accommodate 16 guests and 25 crew.

The yacht year marks an exciting addition to the superyacht fleet and 2022 looks to be a special year. Among the most notable yachts scheduled to be delivered is the 127-meter (416-foott) sailboat Project Y721, believed to have been commissioned by Amazon founder Jeff Bezos. It will become the largest sailing yacht in the world. The impressive project Y721 is one of four 100-plus-meter (4328 feet) yachts scheduled to be delivered by the Dutch yacht builder Oceanco next year. Other notable yachts worth noting include the 107-meter (357-foot) Lürssen explorer, built for Canadian John Risley, and the largest-ever Feadship, 118 meters (387 feet) long. ) Project 1010.
