Which car has the worst encounter?
In the wonderful world of car design, you have generational changes – you know, “all-new” models – and then you have small mid-generation updates, to outdo the cars. Car has had a long time, a search on a bit. Some of those upgrades work wonders, As we have discussed. Unfortunately, some do the opposite. Today we are discussing those unsuccessful attempts.
History provides us with many examples. In my opinion, one of the descendants of this phenomenon is the first generation Hyundai Tiburon. The original design wasn’t too special or anything, but it was acceptable for the time and matched well with other low-end coupes of the day. However, to refresh, Hyundai decided to refresh.
Big changes are coming- and ends Designs. And while neither is good, Tiburon “RD2” face, pictured at the top of this post, is just bewildered. At the time, Mercedes was making four-ring headlights, and the Toyota Celica and Acura Integra also had them. For that reason, the Tiburon’s abrupt change looks like a desperate attempt to bring refinement to a car and make it – to be honest – never hope to fool anyone. Who. Look, Hyundai has come a very long way. They were still not there in 1999.
But the bigger issue is the hood cutout and the way it juts out to highlight the larger portion of the headlights, positioned nearest to the grille for some reason. The ordering was weird, but without that inscription, I think Tiburon’s face might have worked. With that line, it just sounds like it just overheard some really troubling social or political opinions at the Thanksgiving table. Get ready, friends – that lucky gathering is coming.

However, it is enough for me. In your opinion, what did the mid-cycle refresh go all wrong? There are never any wrong answers in the field of car design.
