I have officially checked WhatsApp Twitter Account (opens in a new tab)but so far it hasn’t posted anything regarding the issue, but WhatsApp is trending in the UK so it’s clearly a common problem.
Based on Downdetector website (opens in a new tab)The number of people reporting issues with WhatsApp has spiked since around 9 a.m. BST (4 a.m. ET, 1 a.m. Pacific Time) on Tuesday, October 25.
The most common problem is sending messages, which is an issue that I and other members of the TechRadar team are experiencing.
Welcome to our WhatsApp live blog. After seeing many reports of WhatsApp not working, I tried sending the message myself and was sure it wouldn’t – instead I got a clock icon next to the message, which indicates the server WhatsApp is crashing.
Very frustrating.
