It only took about two years, but I finally bought it NVIDIA RTX 3070 last month. Along the way, I tried almost everything I could to get one at actual retail. But no matter how persistent I am, I can never beat others who want a 3070 as much as I do. By the time summer arrived, I was ready to give up, and I would have given up if it weren’t for the crypto crash.

If you don’t follow the market, the slide in Bitcoin and Ethereum has had a significant effect on GPU prices, especially on NVIDIA’s side. The company’s plug-in board partners, companies like ASUS and EVGA that make most of the GPUs you can buy, are said to be struggling with overcrowding after cryptocurrency miners. What you might know is why I didn’t wait longer for NVIDIA’s next generation GPUs to come out. The answer is twofold. Unless the US decides to regulate cryptocurrencies, it’s hard to see a future where the market doesn’t recover and mining becomes profitable again. Even if that doesn’t happen, by the time NVIDIA’s new GPUs are available for purchase, they may not be easy to find.
All signs point to the company opening up the Ada Lovelace generation with the RTX 4090, 4080, and 4070 models. Not only are these machines more expensive than their 30-series counterparts, but you can also order them. bet they’ll be in high demand among gamers who want the latest and greatest – especially the 4070 being the most mainstream of the trio.
For those reasons, I think it will be a short time before I can buy a new GPU at a reasonable price. That I ran a GTX 1660 Ti with a QHD screen that makes it easier for me to decide. I can safely say that I won’t regret buying the RTX 3070 with its successor just recently. Play games like God of War with all graphics settings maximized and without a single hiccup it’s fun. Even more revelations have been replayed games like Control and finally be able to experience them with there is hope. Sometimes I think we get so caught up in trying to make a perfect purchase that we don’t get the product that serves our needs well right now. I’m glad I didn’t fall into that trap.
