What was this Ja Morant suspension all about?

Ja Morant will be back in court next week at some point. Which is good…maybe? One gets the feeling that no one around him really cares about him, not even his master. But NBA invested a lot of money in him so they need to restore his image but do it fast so he can get back on the field and remind everyone why he is the future face of Tournaments. Because that’s what the league wanted not too long ago. And it also makes one wonder what exactly happened here.

Morant is gone Grizzly Memphis Later appeared on Instagram Live from a strip club with a gun. The NBA can’t, or won’t, determine if it’s his or if he has it on the official NBA field, and fair enough. Probably not, and it would be very difficult to prove yes and he had it on the plane or in the locker room without proof or someone trustworthy saying so. It was an extreme display of poor judgment, that we can say for sure. Anything else? What exactly are they saying? Because it looks like Morant was suspended for scaring white people.

Just a few days after Morant is said to be being consulted in Florida for…something before he was reinstated. But that’s not how consulting works. That takes a lot of time. And now he is doing interviewon ESPN. And back to the Grizzlies in a few days. Certainly his consultation should be kept private, but again, only a few day? Is it just lip service? Because it’s like it feels that way.

Morant has a big interview with ESPN’s Jalen Rose. Meaningful, Rose had a monologue about Morant when his video first went viral and had the same problem situation at university when he was caught in something that terrified the crowd but in fact, he was just hanging out with a friend. Rose was, in some ways, the perfect person to talk to Morant, having been through similar experiences. But when you put it on camera for ESPN, who have close ties to the NBA, it’s hard to take it entirely at face value. Is this an NBA partner working hard for the league and trying to clean up the image of one of its biggest stars quickly?

This isn’t to excuse Morant’s behavior or actions in the past year. But he’s hardly the first young person to suddenly be inundated with fame and money and struggle to know how that changes things. He is accused of beat a lack year at his house. (According to the Washington Post, Morant told the police He acted in self-defence. “I swing first,” he told the detectives.)

Patrick Kane, the same age, allegedly hit an elderly taxi driver. (He insist not guilty to felony robbery and misdemeanor theft and criminal offenses, but ultimately pleaded guilty with a non-criminal charge of disorderly conduct.) People decide to find the latter cute and childish, or worst, food for dissident fans and nothing else. Morant’s actions make him an unstoppable thug to some. I wonder what the difference is?

Morant isn’t the first to hold the wrong company wholeheartedly loyal. Most of us will never know, but it can be hard to realize that you have more to lose than a loved one when that person doesn’t respect that fact, especially when you think you’re helping. help. And it wouldn’t be fair to try to speculate what the Grizzlies were referring to when they said that Morant needed time to work things out. But how can any answer be processed in a few days?

Morant was one of many who had to grow up before all of us, and for some, looks very different from what the paying audience for the NBA knows. Remember when Miley Cyrus annoys everyone years ago? That’s what usually happens in a dorm somewhere, but instead, it happens in front of cameras and on social media, so everyone has to think/panic about it. It scares parents of children out of fear that their child might have a similar phase (they will). Morant may be more threatening to outsiders, but it’s the same genus.

Looks like Morant was guilty of presenting bad optics. The NBA knows who buys tickets and who sponsors ads. And while what Morant has been accused of lately is bad, what’s worse is that it frightens those people to the core. The NBA had to find a way to do something. So that’s what it did, it looks like it’s doing something. What is it… who can say?

Thierry Henry Thirsty USMNT

Interesting nugget slipped out of France last night:

On the other hand, the FFF’s suggestion of Henry as head coach of the women’s team a few months before the World Cup was not quite right. Henry has no experience in the girls’ game, and it seems like he’s the name they thought could calm the seas after their recent hiccups. Will that solve the problems that French football has with its women’s team? Almost certainly not, but Henry would be a shining name that might make some people ask less question about it.

As for the second part…ehhhhhhh. Henry is at least familiar with American football, because he coached Montreal FC for… a season. And that was during the pandemic. So type, not really the usual American season. His time at Monaco was an absolute disaster. He was an assistant for the Belgian team…under Roberto Martinez, who happened to be one of the biggest scammers in the international game (you are about to learn, Portugal). So…seems like his candidacy for the USMNT head coach position is not much different from the candidate for the French women’s team. A big name with an illustrious playing history that only true insiders know Will ask serious questions about but will seem like a big deal to others. And no one listens to those of us who know.
