As the seasons change and the weather gets colder in places like North America, Europe, and Japan, it feels like a golden time for me to play video games. Holidays like Thanksgiving may be about food and family, but it’s also free time to play video games all day. There’s also Black Friday right after. So gaming on Thanksgiving and Black Friday holds some of the most precious memories for me.

When Thanksgiving came around, I remember avoiding family gatherings and playing the games I enjoyed The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind. That’s where my love for RPGs began while exploring Vivec City, as it’s still tied to Crossbell from Legend of heroes My favorite video game city series. So I will never forget that special Thanksgiving many years ago.
Ironically, I also have fond memories of Black Friday, as I usually save most of my part-time earnings for that particular day. One of my favorite purchases was buying a PSP on sale with the money I saved from my teenage job. The PSP really started my love for JRPGs when I got to play games like the PS1 The ultimate illusion game, Characters 1-3and more I remember receiving Star Wars: Battlefront 2 And Final Fantasy VII to get started with my PSP on Black Friday. Many of my best memories from gaming happened unexpectedly around Thanksgiving and Black Friday, even though I’m generally not a big fan of Thanksgiving. — Cody
