What an exciting weekend! Old ring Shadow of the Erdtree is active, giving us an excuse to enter the Land Between and let shadow land. Essentially, new challenges await. So as we all prepare to return, let’s share what we think is best Old ring build. Maybe it can help us get different ideas or overcome certain bosses!
I’ve been trying to stay away from soul-style sword and board builds, but Old ring Hit me with a double blow of time blocks and sparkling look at Sword of Night and Flame. It requires a huge investment in all the stats, which isn’t ideal, but it’s a price I’m willing to pay to shoot lasers AND fire waves. — Elliot
I feel like I need to preface this by apologizing before revealing that I am one of the players who dual wields the Moonveil and Meteoric Ore Blade katanas. And when I’m not hurling magical lasers from my sword and using gravity to destabilize enemies, I like to use a variety of spells to keep enemies at bay. Or… just throw in a laser beam for good measure. — Daniel
I am nothing if unpredictable. Even when I tried to play the Souls-esque game in a new way, I kept coming back to Big Sword and Bigger Flips. Between the Ruin Greatsword, the Classic Greatsword, the Royal Greatsword, and the Moonlight Greatsword: I found myself holding two giant greatswords enchanted with ice as an added spice. That, combined with the sheer amount of damage from jumping attacks, made my journey through The Lands Between less of a challenge. Hysterical and more Moe Szyslak. I have to tell you it’s pretty awesome. — John
