I really love Silent Hill 3but more so because of the shared experience. I went through that section with three close friends from college. So when we play, we all play together. That means we really get to enjoy the experience, enjoy the lore, and tackle the fear together. — Jenni
I will reveal myself as a normal person Silent Hill fan. I would say that’s the only thing Silent Hill The game I ever played to completion was Silent Hill 2. The only one left of me is, yeah, Silent Hill: Originsbut I don’t remember anything other than the main character’s hammer space bag. Honestly, I didn’t find any Silent Hill That scary game. The combat is available in action form, but I really like the franchise’s overarching lore. Narrative narration by Silent Hill 2as well as its focus on the personal and psychological issues of the characters, was very interesting to me from a story standpoint. As a game, yes, it can be frustrating. But in terms of experience, there is a reason that many people consider Silent Hill 2 becoming one of the finest examples of video games as an art. — Stephanie
Silent Hill 2 And 3 certainly has the potential to be the best in the series. However, I have a soft spot for Silent Hill: Origins. I’ve always been a shy cat so this is probably the first horror game I’ve played to the end. The graphics at the time impressed me for a handheld title. Other than that, the gameplay is almost on par with the home console experience. Being able to play on a smaller screen helped me not be so scared and have fond memories of sneaking into the school library to play. Not to mention the soundtrack by Akira Yamaoka is excellent. It reignited my love for this series, which is rare in this genre. — Cody
