Via Charles Brun: Oleksandr Usyk Says He Sees Anthony Joshua As Just One “Poor fool” after he threw his two heavyweight titles off the ring in their rematch on Aug. 20.
Usyk (20-0, 13 KOs) said that former unified champion Joshua (24-3, 22 KOs) reminded him of a “boy” who had the ball taken from him. So instead of handling it expertly, he threw the ball over the fence.
To be sure, Joshua looks silly throwing Usyk’s belt out in the ring because it just shows he’s a lousy loser. After his second win over Joshua, Usyk showed that he is a super boxer, and it was a mistake on AJ’s part in the rematch.
Joshua is currently kicking off his career with a fight with Tyson Fury on December 3. It’s clear that Joshua needs to save from himself now. At best, AJ promoter Eddie Hearn will put his feet down and not allow him to throw away his career by fighting Fury.
If Hearn is afraid of offending Joshua and defaming him, it doesn’t matter because his career will go downhill after his loss to Fury in December. I can’t see legendary promoter Bob Arum allowing Joshua out. orders whom he will fight without causing any riots.
“I thought, ‘What a poor fool.’ He reminded me of a boy who wanted to play with a ball, but it was taken away by it, so he decided to throw it over the neighbor’s fence,” said Oleksandr Usyk. USYK17 when asked what he thought when Joshua threw his two belts out into the ring.
Usyk isn’t happy about Fury choosing to fight Joshua next instead of going up against him in February or March. He feels that Fury fears him about him because he’s a bad style fit for the big 6’9″ Englishman.
“Despite his toughness and the way he is generally described, he is afraid. Yes, mine,” Usyk said.
“Well, if they sign, they’ll punch each other for a while,” Usyk said of Fury fighting Anthony Joshua in December. “But people are looking forward to Usyk vs. Fury.
“I will not support them; I won’t even watch this fight. I don’t want to. Okay, I was just joking.”
