Wells Fargo pays $145 million to settle 401(k) plan probe

Wells Fargo & Co on Monday said it would pay about $145 million to settle a U.S. Department of Labor investigation into transactions used to fund contributions to bank 401(k) retirement plan.

The Labor Department has alleged that the retirement plan paid too much for Wells Fargo stock between 2013 and 2018.
