This is a primer about how each of these jurisdictions adjudicates different crimes, what they make public (or don’t) and where.
With the Safety and Integrity Act (HISA) going into effect on July 1, TDN will also post a summary of HISA-related rulings from the same week.
California

Explainer: Violates Safety and Integrity Authority Rule #2280 (Equestrian Use) and follows Safety and Integrity Authority Rule #282 (Riding Violation and Penalty – Type) 3), Jockey Drayden Van Dyke, who rode a DOLL’S DOLL during the sixth race at Del Mar Racetrack on September 9, 2022, suspended for three (3) days (September 17, 18 and 22). 2022), and fined $960.00 for 5 hits over the limit. Furthermore, Jockey Drayden Van Dyke was assigned five (5) infractions to be removed on June 19, 2023, nine (9) months from the date of the final hearing in accordance with the Integrity and Safety Authority Rules. main #2282 (Crop Riding Violation and Penalty). Jockey Van Dyke currently has eight (8) points under HISA Rule No. 2283 (Repeated Violations). Pursuant to California Jockey Board rule number 1766 (Designated Races), the period of suspension shall not prohibit participation in designated races.

Explainer: Violation of Safety and Integrity Authority Rule #2280 (Equestrian Use) and Safety and Integrity Authority Rule #282 (Equestrian Violation and Punishment – Grade 3) , Apprentice Jockey Abdul Alsagoor, who rode Mickey From Wexford in the 10th race at Del Mar Racecourse on September 10, 2022, was suspended for 1 day (September 18, 2022), and fined $250.00 for one (1) over-limit shot. Furthermore, Apprentice Jockey Abdul Alsagoor was assigned three (3) infractions to be removed on March 11, 2023, six (6) months from the date of the final hearing in accordance with the Safety Authority Rules and Horseracing Integrity No. 2282 (Crop Crop Violation and Penalty – third offense as of July 3, 2022). Apprentice Jockey Alsagoor currently has nine (9) points under Rule No. 2283 (Multiple Offenses).
