We passed another week but landed on an ominous day to start the weekend. It’s Friday the 13th! Today marks the release of the game on the latest cover of Game informant, Evil Dead: Games. And wouldn’t you know it, we were posted the entire cover of that issue online this week. After you’ve read about Ash Williams and his new asymmetrical multiplayer game, we have a lot to read on the site that you won’t find anywhere else. Here’s our original piece of content for you to read over the weekend:
Check out all of that and more! And now that those parts are done, and so is the work week, we’re all ready for a fun weekend. Here’s what GI staff have planned for the next few days:
John Carson – After surviving a terrible cold (yes, I was a kid all week) and lots of inclement weather, I’m ready for a nice calm weekend without all the scenes. tornado alert, sniffle and Kleenex. I’m currently playing Salt and Sacrifice for review and hope to get credit in a few hours on it, and then I’m planning on going back to a very early playthrough of Xenoblade Chronicles. Sunday was Magic day with the Commanding team after taking a few weeks off from travel/sickness. I will flex them with a new deck. Wish me luck!
Marcus Stewart – Elden Ring. Floor 134. Malenia. I’m almost done, but I’m still looking for other things to do. Am I finally going to be Elden Lord this weekend? Sure is not. I’ll also hang out around town with a friend and catch up on some wrestling.
Kristin Williams – I’ve been in the mood for a good sim game lately, and hearing some interesting things about the upcoming Two Point Campus made me want to check out their previous game, Two Point Hospital. I enjoyed and will certainly spend more time trying to manage the increasingly chaotic hospital situation this weekend. And definitely going outside a lot – we finally have nice weather here in Minnesota!
Jon Woodey – In addition to my usual FFXIV craps, I’ll be playing a lot of Stardew Valley games. I’m a bit late to the party, but update 1.5 introduced a lot of new content and expansion, a lot of mods have also been updated. Sometimes a Warrior of Light needs to take a break from saving the world to just do some relaxing farm work.
Kimberley Wallace – Since I play games too much during work hours, I usually spend my weekends watching anime and manga. On the anime front, I love Spy x Family (so healthy!), salaried workers club (badminton doesn’t have enough love), and The heroines run the show. If you dig Danganronpa, I also recommend you to check Game Tomodachi. As for the manga, I need to read the latest Spider-Gwen: Gwenverse and Ms. Marvel: Beyond Limits.
Jill Grodt – That’s all about the updates this weekend. Loot River just makes resources more abundant and I am working towards exploiting all its achievements. On top of that, MythForce added quests, I still need to see new Sifu stuff and I really intend to visit Bugsnax again to find those little Snax hats! Of course, I have a lot of backlog help to work through, but don’t worry about that. Everyone have a great weekend!
Wesley LeBlanc – I have a Citizen Sleeper brain. Earlier this week, I wrote about how it’s an Xbox Game Pass RPG that totally deserves your attentionand now, many hours of gaming, I feel like it’s so much more. Play Citizen Sleeper! I’m hoping to get that done by the end of the week and get back to playing through GTAV. Plus, I’m also planning to start Evil Dead: The Game this weekend! Elsewhere, I foresee a lot of frisbee with my kids, and maybe, for some reason, I can catch up on the Halo TV series even though everything inside of me tells me that I should not.
If you’re a seasoned Weekend Warrior, you know the drill, but if you’re new, here’s the deal: We want to know what you’re up to this weekend! Are you watching horror movies in honor of Friday the 13th? What game are you going to play? Do you recommend any books, shows, movies, music, comics or food? We want to hear about all of that. Share them all in the comments below. Have a great weekend, GI Community!
