Just like a couple of weeks ago, here’s another big event for great new games to play. Today especially marks the release Kirby and the Forgotten Land, Ghostwire: Tokyoand Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands, we’ve all reviewed (click on the respective game title to read our articles for each game). While there are plenty of new adventures to begin with, this edition of Weekend Warriors has a complete twist.
Below, you can find a mix of what GI staff do on weekends, but more importantly an introduction to the animal friends we share our lives with. It’s raining cats and dogs on Warriors this weekend, and we want you to follow suit by recommending your companions in the comments..
Without further ado, meet Game Informer’s pets:
Andrew Reiner – Snow White
Margaret Andrews – Behold Prince Indigo, Guardian of Wishes and the most violent mothers.
I spent the whole week playing Ao Dai and was planning to pick it up this weekend, but now that Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands is out, most of my time will be spent doing it. Last night, I probably spent 30 minutes in character creation and experienced the intro, so I’m looking forward to opening the game and having a big adventure. I will also finish the book “Gallant” by VE Schwab and start the book I have been waiting for, “Empire of the Vampire,” by Jay Kristoff.
Kristin Williams – This is Pantalaimon.
He’s showing you his belly, but you can’t stroke his belly. His favorite pastimes include making video games harder by standing directly in front of the TV screen, loudly complaining that he has never been fed in his life, and cuddling me once in a while. aggressive way when I need to get off the couch.
Laleh Tobin –
Spike: This absolute hebo is set for former editor Javy Gwaltney and his favorite space cowboy. Longbois 4ever <3!
Moira: She had it with Spike’s antics and longed to return to Megaton.
Alex Van Aken –
Hazel is my 7 year old precious cat and loves to eat. I will die for her. However, she is now upset with us because we put her on a more rigorous diet this week to help her lose two pounds.
Jill Grodt –
This is Rufus. We got it at a shelter seven years ago, where the staff assured us it was a cat. However, he may just be a very faint pig, given how much he tries to eat. Rufus has been on the Game Informer Show almost as many times as I have. So see if you can spot him next time!
Kimberly Wallace –
This is Pancakes. He will be visiting his friends, Corvo and Totoro, this weekend. These are the cats of former Game Informer editor Elise Favis. Pancake loves to play fetch, eat plastic and hang out in the tub. Mostly, he likes to cuddle and sleep on his ramen bed.
John Carson –
These two characters are Zorro, the boy as round as a cow, and our little black cat Sheik wierdo. Zorro likes to nap and eat toy feathers, while Sheik likes to climb to high vantage points in the apartment and sprint around late at night. Zorro recently had to undergo some medical procedures (he’s fine!), which made his belly shave clean and incredibly comfortable like never before.
I’ll be playing more Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands over the weekend, which I started last night, and playing in the Elden Ring here and there. I read the latest chapter of One Piece yesterday, which included a big reveal that changed the setting of so many series, so I’m going to start the anime over again, watching from the East Blue part and see if Eichiro Oda has it. plan for this reveal not the whole time.

Sparrow is a red Australian Shepherd who turned 4 this February, and in the 4 years of his life so far he has been one of my best friends. Wherever I go, she goes (unless there’s food somewhere along the way to distract her). She loves her own voice and loves to say hello. If you pet her, be prepared to scratch her rosy belly for a few more seconds because she can’t resist flipping over to let you know that you patted her head well but she wants to rub her belly. Her favorite foods include – if you’re my wife, stop reading now – popcorn, Cheetos Puffs and other similar snacks. She also loves the crunch of an ice cube, and I know not to make myself a drink without cutting her a piece. Her favorite game to watch me play right now is Elden Ring. While playing, I called her “Sausage Girl” because she placed herself between me and the crack in the chair, like a sausage in a bun. It’s very cute.
Brian Shea – This weekend, I finally have time to play games. The weather here in Minneapolis doesn’t look good. Most of my post-holiday work is done by me. I do not know what to do. Naturally, I’ll be returning to the Elden Ring after finally succumbing to FOMO last weekend, but I also really want to see Kirby and the Forgotten Lands. The two games are very similar.
Monica Rexach Ortiz –
My favorite niece Lyra!
