Weak earnings report doesn’t disappoint investors after a brutal year for stocks


Investors seem to be having disappointing earnings reports in the long run.

After a rough start to the year, the S&P 500 is up nearly 5% in July, including last week’s 2.5% gain. Even some companies that posted sharply lower quarterly results saw the stock rally in the following days.
