“We won Roe v. Wade a long time ago,” Pelosi said as Sanders insisted “the process is NOT dead.”

Nancy Pelosi blames ‘creature’ Donald Trump for instigating the Supreme Court to overturn Roe v. Wade case and says the case has ‘long won’ as Senator Bernie Sanders asks the senate repeatedly introduced a bill to systematize abortion rights until it is passed.

“Let’s not take our eyes off the ball,” she added. ‘The ball is: This court, dangerous for our country’s liberties.’

Bash notes that conservatives have had a goal for decades to overturn the 1973 Roe v. Wade ruling that made abortion constitutionally protected, and pointed out that some critics of the critics leaders of the Democratic Party, said they ‘should have seen this coming.’

‘Who would have thought that a creature like Donald Trump would become President of the United States, making it through the list of judges he would appoint – thus gaining support from the far right. And appoint those anti-liberal judges to the court,’ Pelosi replied.

Sanders still has hope for legislation that would codify abortion rights into federal law even after the legislation failed to go public on Wednesday due to a GOP filing.

The Vermont independent senator told NBC Meet the Press, host Chuck Todd on Sunday.

‘We should bring those bills up again, and again, and again.’

Earlier this month, a draft opinion from the Supreme Court showed Justice Samuel Alito and four other conservative justices signing a ruling that would overturn the Roe v. Wade case. A final judgment is expected to be made in June, but the draft was confirmed by the court as authentic days after it was published by Politico.

The only dissident conservative was Chief Justice John Roberts, who supported a 15-week abortion ban but did not completely overturn the 50-year-old ruling.
