watchOS 9 coming on September 12


Shortly before new generation of the Apple Watch (consists of Favorite Apple Watch Ultra) coming later this month, existing smartwatch owners will be able to upgrade to watchOS 9. Apple says it will roll out the operating system on September 12, the same day iOS 16 will arrive.

You will need iPhone 8 or later or iPhone SE 2nd generation or later running iOS to install watchOS 9. Apple Watch Series 3 owners will miss out on the upgrade, which is compatible with Series 4 and later devices. It’s important to note that not all watchOS 9 features will be available on every Apple Watch and in every region.

Have Remarkable upgrade to fitness features, including heart rate zones for sleep and workouts, multi-sport workouts, and a way to track your personal best. You’ll be able to monitor atrial fibrillation events and receive notifications when it’s time to take your medication. Other new features include a new look Siri, an improved Calendar app, Quick Actions gestures, and more clock screens.
