Watch: Viral video of Dosa Mexico is rejected by the Internet; This is why
If you’re a lover of South Indian food, you know nothing better than a crispy and flavorful dosa. It has a huge fan following nationwide and is loved by people of all ages. Considering this, food enthusiasts often experiment and find unique ways to give classic dosa a fun twist. While some of these attempts were successful, others resulted in utter disappointment. Recently, a video of ‘Mexican Dosa’ with onion and chili paste has gone viral on the internet. Netizens disagree with this creation for all the right reasons.

In a video uploaded to Instagram by food blogger @deliciousdelhiites, we can see a dosa stuffed with onion and chili paste. There are also a few juliennes of carrots in it. “Me after ordering Mexican Dosa”, read the reel’s caption. It seems the blogger herself doesn’t approve of dosa as she adds the “bhool toh ho gayi” from Lata Mangeshkar’s song ‘Bangle Ke Peeche’ to the background of the reel. Check out the viral video here:

Since the video was uploaded, it has been viewed 4.4 million times, has 124,000 likes and thousands of comments. The reaction to this dish has been quite harsh. One person wrote, “There is nothing Mexican about this dosa.” Another added, “Iss se acha salad kha lo (Better eat a salad than this.)” Another user added, “Please don’t do dosa injustice like this.”
Some jokingly added, “I’m not South Indian but I’m offended.” Another wrote: “Vegetables sandwich ka bacha hua masala dosa mei daal ke bech deta hoon, kisiko kya hi pata chalega (I should stuff the masala dosa with leftovers from the vegetable sandwich and sell it, no one will know).
