A few days before he died, Rich Homie Quan appeared in a performance he did not know would be his last. Now, his father, Corey Lamarrecalling one of their last conversations about a show in Miami that Quan had scheduled. They had planned to turn it into a father-son trip but never got the chance.

As previously reported, RHQ passed away on September 5 at the age of 34. The cause of his death remains unknown. However, 911 audio release revealed that his girlfriend, Amber Williams, found him unconscious on the living room couch and foaming at the mouth. There’s no doubt that Quan captured the 2010s with songs like ‘Type of Way,’ ‘My Hitta,’ and ‘Flex.’ And his impact and hits have lasted for more than a decade. So much so that the Atlanta rapper is still booking shows, with his latest and final show being in Arkansas. According to TMZRich Homie Quan took to the stage at El Dorado on Sunday night (September 1) for a car and bike show. At one point, Quan rapped his famous song lyrics while shaking a red cup in his hand!
RHQ’s father reveals one of their last conversations
Quan’s father, Corey Lamar, first to break his silence on the death of his first son on September 6. On Instagram Stories, he said he was feeling “unbearable pain” and asked God to help him understand this sudden and unexpected departure. “I felt like I was crushed into a million pieces,” Lamar wrote.
Then, just after midnight on September 7, he recalled their conversation about spending time together at a Miami show that Quan had booked in his book. Corey said Rich Homie Quan called him the week before and invited him to his show as a “spiritual break.” Lamar said he booked them flights and a mansion, but then Quan suddenly passed away.
“I booked the flight, booked us a nice villa to stay in without knowing that my son would no longer be here to accompany me. Lesson learned: Tomorrow is not promised. Enjoy life and make memories with your loved ones!!!”
Quan’s father isn’t the only one who has been consumed with memories since his death. Celebrities ranging from Quavo to Boosie, Jacquees and Playboi Carti have shared tributes since Thursday. DJs have been playing his music at clubs and on the radio.
Hours after Quan’s family confirmed his death, however, Erica Banks faced backlash for sharing what appeared to be intimate moments with the Atlanta rapper. She later deleted the content from her social media platforms, but days later, people were still talking about the politeness of the moment.
