Watch Orion’s flyby of the moon during NASA’s Artemis mission | Science & Tech News
NASA’s Artemis spacecraft is going to the moon – and you can follow its journey by watching the steam directly above.
The Orion capsule will reach the moon at 12:44 pm (GMT) – sweeping 80 miles (130km) above the lunar surface, before entering a larger orbit.
During the approach, the capsule will activate its main engine in a “energy burn” fashion, which will send it into lunar orbit four days later.
