When it comes to dosas, we all know that there are many varieties. From masala and paneer dosa to rava dosa, most restaurants offer a wide range of this delicious crunchy South Indian dish. However, for some, their creativity knows no bounds and therefore they try to do something complementary even with a classic dish like dosa. Recently, a video went viral showing a street vendor preparing dosa in the most lavish way possible. In the clip, posted on Instagram, the vendor begins by spreading dosa dough over the tawa and, of course, placing a large chunk of butter on top. A few tomatoes, bell peppers, and onions are also added before the cook adds some cashews and red peppers. Then he added something that has permeated almost every fast food we’ve seen lately. Yes, it’s mayonnaise.

Well, if you think the dish ends here, then wait until you see a man carrying a flaming earthen pot just to pour everything into it, except the dosa. The last time with the dosa, they spread some more cheese on top and finally scrape it off the pan before beautifying it with a layer of mayonnaise.
The dosa is then wrapped into a cone and placed inside a hot pot that spills the contents out. To make sure it was appealing enough, diners sprinkle some cheese, coriander, and cashews on top of the dish.
After watching the video, many people were amazed at the process that the dosa had to go through. One user called it “the worst dish I’ve ever seen”.
