Temperatures at the Melbourne Cricket Ground have spiked as India and Pakistan arrive at the venue for the start of the T20 World Cup 2022 campaign on Sunday. Asked to hit first by Indian captain Rohit Sharma, Pakistan lost its captain Babar Azam for a golden duck of rising Indian superstar Arshdeep Singh. The left-arm runner put the ball into Babar’s net on his first serve, catching him in front of a tree.

Although Babar decided to reconsider, not even technology could assist him. Pakistan even continues to lose in the process.

Here is a video of Babar Azam being fired:

Not long after, Arshdeep also sent Pakistan goalie hitter Mohammad Rizwan a package. On the last serve of game 4, Arshdeep threw a sharp ball to Rizwan which the batter tried to hook. But, the end result was that the ball landed safely in the hands of Bhuvneshwar Kumar in good foot.

In the process, Arshdeep scrapped Pakistan’s opening duo on the cheap. After Babar left without opening an account, Rizwan was only able to score 4 times from 12 balls.

In the match, India decided to launch a trio of speed including Mohammed Shami, Arshdeep Singh and Bhuvneshwar Kumar while Harshal Patel was left on the bench. Yuzvendra Chahal was also disqualified when the team management decided to give Ravichandran Ashwin in the role of a professional cameraman. Axar Patel and Hardik Pandya got the nod like all round.
