Watch: Albert Pujols receives All-Stars honor in Derby
Albert Pujols was an 11-time All-Star and first vote in the future Hall of Famer, Albert Pujols was appeared last in this week’s Midsummer Classic in Los Angeles.
The festival kicks off Monday night with the 2022 MLB Home Run Derby from Dodger Stadium, where Pujols took part in his last derby.
At 42 years old, there is no expectation that Pujols will fight against those who are at their peak. Formerly 21 year old Julio Rodriguez brought 32 home teams in the first round, that is exaggerated even more.
Against Kyle Schwarber in the first round, the Pujols scored a total of 20 home players. He finally beat Schwarber in stunning fashion.
Ahead of the first round win, the All-Stars inside Dodger Stadium took the time to pay their respects to Albert Pujols after his turn. For those who have followed Pujols’ career since 2001 with the Cardinals, it was an exceptional sight.
