Warzone 2 season two will bring 1v1 Gulag battles next month

battlefield 2Season two will launch on February 15, bringing with it new content and some changes to Call Of Duty’s battle royale mode. One of those changes is being celebrated by the community: the return of the first game’s 1v1 Gulag battles.

“1v1 is back in Battle Royale,” tweeted Infinity Ward and crow software account. “Updates on Gulag coming in Season 02. We’ll share more details on this in next week’s studio blog.”

Call Of Duty Twitter Account Provided some additional details. “Season 02 will premiere on February 15,” began the announcement. “Our studio teams have made some changes based on what we’ve heard from our community of players. Season 2 includes all new content, with the return of Rise, a brand new minimap for Warzone 2.0 and updates to Gulag, looting and overcrowding.

“Ranked gameplay is also back and coming to MWII, along with new multiplayer maps, new modes, weapons, and more.”

Respawn is a faster-paced battle royale genre in which players can respawn after a short time as long as a member of their team is still alive. The mode is designed for a smaller number of players and a smaller map.

However, in Warzone 1’s main mode, dying will cause you to appear in the Gulag, a mini-map in which you must battle another newly dead player for a chance to respawn. Warzone 2 changed that by turning the Gulag into a 2v2 battle, pairing players with a random partner and resurrecting the winning team. Season 2 looks to reverse that change and revert to the old way of doing things.

I have no opinion either, but as the video above explains, the Gulag was one of our favorite parts of the first Warzone.
